CMA CGM AIR CARGO in Marseille is seeking a Flight Operations Engineer (M/F) to ensure all flight operations needs are covered before the day of flight, collaborating across departments and teams.

You will lead engineering improvements, manage flight operations software, support route openings, and contribute to fuel and CO2 reporting, while assisting crew and OCC. A BAC+5 or higher in aeronautics or related field and English fluency are required.

  • Engineering degree (BAC+5) or Master’s in aeronautics or related field.

Responsabilités

  • Lead innovations and drive responsiveness in the Flight Operations Engineering department.
  • Elaborate and improve business procedures and ensure administration of operations manuals with flight crew and OCC.
  • Manage flight operations software (planning, performance, weight & balance).
  • Carry out flight feasibility studies with the commercial department.
  • Open new flight routes and initiate ad-hoc flights, optimizing routes and analyzing airports.
  • Analyze fuel consumption and aircraft performance trends; propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure CO2 emissions reporting monthly, biannual, and annually.
  • Integrate the new A350F into CMA CGM AIR CARGO’s fleet; coordinate software deployment, update manuals, perform weight/balance analysis and obtain regulatory approvals.
  • Assist the flight crew and OCC members in daily activities.

Flight Operations Engineer (M/F)

Flight Operations Engineer has the primary responsibility of ensuring that all aspects of flight operations are covered before the day of flight. The individual will work on both short- and long-term subjects, involving multiple teams from different departments. The projects may range from deep technical analysis to organizational activities.

RESPONSABILITES
  • Bring and promote innovations, initiative, responsiveness, and pragmatism to the Flight Operations Engineering department.
  • Elaborate/improve thebusiness-related proceduresof Flight Operations Engineering department and ensure the administration ofoperations manualsin collaboration with flight crew and Operational Control Centre members.
  • Ensure the administration offlight operations software(flight planning, aircraft performance, weight & balance, etc.)
  • Carry outflight feasibility studiesin collaboration with commercial department.
  • Organize openings ofnew flight routesand initiations ofad-hoc flights, optimizing the routes and analyzing the airports concerned.
  • Analyzefuel consumption, monitoraircraft performance trends, and propose corrective actions to improve these indicators.
  • Ensure theCO2 emissionsreporting on monthly, biannual, and annual basis.
  • Participate in the integration of abrand-new A350Finto CMA CGM AIR CARGO’s fleet. Coordinate the deployment and configuration of the related software, adapt the operations manuals, carry out aircraft performance and weight & balance analysis, and obtain all necessary regulatory approvals.
  • Assist the flight crew and Operational Control Center members in their daily activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Engineering degree (BAC+5) or Master's degree - aeronautics, general engineering, data science or artificial intelligence.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively.
  • Self-starter and willing to continuously learn new skills to drive the process and technology of CMA CGM AIR CARGO.
  • Experience in multicultural environment.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Appetite for digital tools and hands‑on development: scripting and programming (Python, VBA, SQL or equivalent), data analysis, task automation.
  • Interest in applying AI tools to operational problems, from prototyping to daily use.
CONTRACT
  • Executive contract with a fixed day rate, based in Marseille, with frequent travels to Paris CDG office.
