Job summary

FLYING WHALES in France is seeking a Flight Performance & Handling Qualities Lead to drive the airship's dynamics and certification efforts. You will lead the team responsible for flight performance and handling qualities, overseeing analyses and test planning.

The role requires a Master of Science in relevant fields and 5+ years in aircraft flight dynamics; you will coordinate flight test work, model validation, and certification reporting. Remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• Master of Science (or engineering degree) in Aeronautics, Aerospace, Marine Engineering, or General Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in aircraft flight dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team responsible for flight performance and handling qualities.
• Assess stability, controllability, and flight performance of the airship.
• Coordinate flight test preparation and participate in tests.
• Contribute to airship certification with compliance analyses and reports.

Skills

6 DoF modelling and simulation

Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink

Knowledge of aerodynamics and flightd-

Knowledge of flight handling qualities

Education
