Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Soncourt-sur-Marne, Grand Est, is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician who can independently perform core maintenance and service tasks on fire alarm systems. You will interpret drawings, troubleshoot, document service reports, and travel to commercial, industrial, and construction sites.

• If Driving Role: clean driving record and active license.

Responsabilités

• Provide guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.

The Fire Alarm Service Technician is a role responsible for independently performing core technical functions related to the service of fire alarm systems. This position is capable of completing standard service and maintenance tasks without direct supervision. The technician applies industry knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and best practices to ensure systems are operating in compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Education/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, components, and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• If Driving Role: Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license.

Other Duties

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
