Ad Idem Consulting is seeking a Financial Controller for a Paris-based, 18-month contract, overseeing the balance sheet across four entities and consolidating for group reporting.

The role requires a qualified accountant with multi-GAAP experience, comfort with AR/AP and GL, and exposure to systems implementations and shared services.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

Our client, a global business, is looking for a Financial Controller on an 18 month contract, based in Paris. The role will take ownership of the balance sheet across four entities, two in France and one each in the Netherlands and Belgium.

This is a reporting role built around that ownership. You would prepare the statutory financial statements for each entity to local GAAP, oversee AR/AP and the general ledger, and consolidate the four entities before the numbers pass to the group team. Governance sits with you too, covering internal controls and adherence to the relevant financial reporting standards. You would also own the monthly closing cycle, cash flow forecasting, tax accruals and filings, and the external audit relationship.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant who has prepared financial statements under French, Dutch and Belgian local GAAP and who is comfortable running AR/AP and the general ledger. Some systems implementation experience is important, and exposure to a shared service centre in a previous role would be a real advantage. Beyond the technical side, it is a role for someone who takes genuine ownership of their remit, works with rigour across several entities at once, and has the judgement to know when something needs raising.

Salary range between €110,000 - €135,000 per annum plus bonus and benefits.
