Qualifications

  • At least 6 years’ experience in finance and administration, preferably in international organizations or NGOs.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Support a good filing system and handle VAT exemptions.

Description du poste

The InternationalPotato Center (CIP) is seeking to recruit one (1) dynamic and experienced Financeand Administration Officer to provide support the Finance and Administrativeteam, especially the accounting and the finance management, but also theadministrative task as required.
The Position: The selected candidate will be based in Antananarivo andwill report to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseefinancial operations of the field office, including cash and bank management,timely financial reporting, and maintaining financial records.
  • Enter financialdata and manage month-end closures.
  • Liaise withfinance specialists.
  • Prepare payments(cheques, transfers, petty cash).
  • Ensure accurateinvoice processing and proper documentation.
  • Comply withfinancial policies.
  • Prepare monthlybank reconciliations.
  • Handle VATexemptions and maintain audit-ready records.
  • Support a goodfiling system.
  • Manage financialtransactions and ensure efficient processing and approval of payment requests.
  • Deliver andcollect bank instructions.
  • Oversee alltasks done by the person under supervision.
  • Ensure rightback up for administrative and logistic tasks during the absence of theAssistant administrative.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’sdegree in business administration, accounting or related discipline.
  • Atleast 6 years’ experience performing similar functions, preferably in anenvironment of international organizations or NGOs.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel.
  • Accountingsoftware packages (ERP Preferable)
  • Experiencein management and administration of annual budgets, handing payroll and taxes.
  • Excellentwritten and oral communication skills in English.
  • Analyticalthinking, good sense of planning and organization
  • Excellentworking environment.
  • Compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Fixed term contract with possibility of renewal subject onperformance and availability of funds.
