Mews is seeking a founding analytics engineer in Finance to build data infrastructure that speeds month-end close and informs how leadership allocates capital. You’ll have a blank canvas with no legacy pipelines to untangle and no inherited playbook.

You’ll design analytics features, develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with DBT and Databricks, and champion data quality and testing. This is a high-visibility role with significant impact on strategic financial decisions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production experience building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines (minimum 3 years).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with strong experience in DBT or an equivalent modern data transformation tool.
• Experience with Databricks or a similar cloud data platform, or willingness to ramp up quickly.
• Demonstrated commitment to data quality, testing and accuracy, with pride in work that’s been thoroughly validated.

About the role

You’ll be the founding analytics engineer in Finance, with a genuinely blank canvas: no legacy pipelines to untangle, no existing playbook to inherit. Your work on data infrastructure will directly speed up month-end close and shape the analysis that informs how Finance leadership allocates capital, giving you a level of visibility into strategic financial decisions that's rare for an engineering role at this stage.

AI Fluency Level 3: in this role, that means redesigning how Finance approaches data discovery and analysis using AI, not just automating your own work, but building patterns and tools that shape how the whole team questions data and validates insights. You'll use AI to speed up model development and testing, while actively questioning what it produces and knowing when to push back. You'll build processes others follow, with AI as a core part of how that work gets done.

What we’re looking for

• Hands‑on production experience building and optimising ETL/ELT pipelines (minimum 3 years)

France — $54,500–$65,000 USD

Pay Transparency at Mews

Salary ranges are provided in good faith and reflect current market conditions and internal pay structures. Final compensation may be adjusted based on funding, budget constraints, or exceptional candidate qualifications, but will remain within reasonable proximity to the stated range.
