Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install, troubleshoot, program, repair, and maintain wireless communications systems for commercial and public-sector customers. This role is 100% onsite/local field-based in Chantilly, VA, supporting first responders and critical infrastructure with reliable communications technology.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, or maintaining two-way radio and wireless systems.
• Hands-on experience with Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex, Harris, UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz RF systems and related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of radio theory, RF propagation, wireless systems, TCP/IP networking, and interpreting schematics/blueprints.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or industry certifications preferred.
• No security clearance required; valid driver's license and ability to travel regionally.

• Troubleshoot RF infrastructure including repeaters, base stations, dispatch consoles, antennas, DAS/BDA systems, microwave, wireless broadband equipment.
• Use spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs/FDRs, multimeters to diagnose issues.
• Provide onsite customer support and assist regional projects and on-call operations as required.

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support a company focused on wireless communications infrastructure, two-way radio systems, and mission-critical telecommunications solutions. This position is 100% onsite/local field-based in Chantilly, VA. The Field Service Technician II will independently install, troubleshoot, program, repair, and maintain wireless communications systems for commercial and public-sector customers. Responsibilities for the Field Service Technician II include:

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, program, and maintain two-way radio and wireless communications systems
• Support radio programming, codeplug development, and configuration of trunked and multi-zone radio environments
• Troubleshoot and service RF communications infrastructure including repeaters, base stations, dispatch consoles, antennas, BDA/DAS systems, microwave, and wireless broadband equipment
• Utilize spectrum analyzers, system analyzers, watt meters, TDRs/FDRs, multimeters, and related test equipment to diagnose technical issues
• Provide onsite customer support, recommend communications solutions, and support regional projects and on-call operations as required

Required Qualifications for the Field Service Technician II include:

• 3+ years of experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, programming, or maintaining two-way radio and wireless communications systems
• Hands-on experience with Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex, Harris, EF Johnson, UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz, RF systems, repeaters, base stations, antennas, duplexers, and multicouplers
• Strong knowledge of radio theory, RF propagation, wireless communications systems, TCP/IP networking, and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training, military communications experience, or industry certifications preferred
• No clearance required; valid driver's license required and ability to support regional travel, overnight work, and on-call responsibilities

Compensation for the Field Service Technician II include:

Salary Range: $62,400 - $76,960 annually ($30.00 - $37.00/hour) depending on experience
