Responsibilities
  • Support the continued expansion of our customer base in France and Europe as a Field Service Technician. Based in France (preferably Lyon), travel across France, Europe and occasional international travel to customer sites, meetings, training, installation and hands-on troubleshooting.
  • Front-line support for customers at start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing system problems remotely, and responding to emergencies.
  • Be independent, think clearly, communicate effectively, and drive projects to completion.
Key Missions
  • Install, service and maintain HV transformer monitoring equipment in the field; provide customer training as required.
  • Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Assess product/equipment performance based on field data; recommend modifications or improvements.
  • Provide technical support to customers and other service professionals as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Demonstrate strong electronic repair troubleshooting methodology and maintain high product knowledge.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Essential Requirements
    • Electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of engineering experience.
    • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact confidently with customers and provide training on equipment and products.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Willingness to work additional hours and weekends; travel up to 70% within France and limited international travel; must have a current passport and driver’s license.
  • Desired Criteria
    • Experience in the electrical utility industry with HV electrical and mechanical systems.
    • Prior field engineering experience with installation and maintenance programs for transformer monitoring equipment.
    • Good project management skills and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Languages
  • English: Good level (read, write, speak).
  • Another language is appreciated.

  • Team player capable of delivering results under pressure and within strict deadlines.
  • Strong quality & safety mindset to ensure work meets industry safety standards.
  • Positive, can-do attitude toward addressing technical challenges for Camlin Energy and clients.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 70% as required; passport and driver’s license essential.
