TOMRA FOOD is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and commission advanced sorting equipment at customer sites across France. You will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and training for operators while representing TOMRA as a trusted partner in the field.

The role is home-based with frequent site visits in the South-West, requiring a valid driving licence and strong IT basics. A competitive package includes travel benefits and regional support.

Qualifications

  • Technical qualification (BAC+2 or equivalent) in Electrotechnics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Electronics, or related.
  • Fluent French and ability to communicate in English in a technical environment.
  • Experience in Field Service, customer-site maintenance, commissioning, installation, or travel support roles.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on industrial equipment at customer sites.
  • Good understanding of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and PC configuration.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and ability to build trusted relationships.
  • Valid driving licence required.

Job Description

Join TOMRA FOODand work on advanced optical sorting and grading technology that helps food producers maximise product quality, reduce food waste and contribute to a more sustainable food industry.

Your Mission

  • Install and commission sorting equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
  • Train operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Support customers with technical expertise.
  • Represent TOMRA as a trusted partner in the field

A typical week might include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting or service activities with a customer near Bordeaux or Agen, operator training following a machine installation, and occasional travel to support customers elsewhere in France.

Home-based role

  • When not visiting customers, you'll work from your home office to prepare for upcoming customer visits, complete service reports, update technical documentation and provide remote support when needed.

South-West focused territory

  • Your primary responsibility will be supporting customers throughout Bordeaux / Agenand neighbouring regions. As part of TOMRA's national Field Service team, you may occasionally support colleagues and customers elsewhere in France when business needs require.

Company car with private use

  • Fully equipped company car provided, including fuel card and reasonable private use.

Qualifications
  • Technical qualification (BAC+2 or equivalent) in Electrotechnics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Electronics, or a related discipline, with hands-on experience in electrical fault-finding and electromechanical troubleshooting.
  • Fluent French and the ability to communicate effectively in English within a technical and professional environment.
  • Previous experience in Field Service, customer-site maintenance, commissioning, installation, or travelling technical support roles is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on industrial equipment in customer-facing environments.
  • Good understanding of IT systems, networking fundamentals, and PC configuration.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A valid driving licence is required for this position.
