Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate required.
• A minimum of one year of experience in utility services, meter installation, or electrical/gas system maintenance is strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Install, replace, and calibrate electric and gas meters in compliance with safety codes and parish standards.
• Perform meter disconnections and reconnections for non-payment or service requests with billing coordination.
• Accurately record readings for disconnections, reconnections, and routine servicing.
• Inspect meters for malfunctions, tampering or unauthorized connections; report findings.
• Investigate high-consumption complaints and communicate results to customers.
• Deliver professional communication and resolve service issues with courtesy and accuracy.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of meters; replace defective units.
• Complete work orders and ensure compliance with safety regulations; report hazards immediately.
