Job summary

Proclinical is seeking a Field Application Scientist - Microbiology to blend hands-on microbiology with customer-facing science. The role involves implementing testing technology in customer laboratories and manufacturing settings, training users, and supporting method validation across diverse workflows.

You will interact with customers to understand processes, gather feedback, and troubleshoot technical challenges.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in industrial, applied or QC microbiology.
• Strong capability with microbial culture, identification and sample preparation.
• Experience validating microbiological methods and workflows.
• Ability to train and support customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of microbiological testing tech at customer sites and labs.
• Provide scientific and technical onboarding and ongoing support to customers.
• Conduct microbiological testing and method validation activities.
• Develop and optimize microbiological methods for various sample types.
• Troubleshoot scientific and technical issues in lab and client environments.
• Train customers and internal staff on technology and workflows.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable feedback for product teams.
• Produce clear technical documentation and communicate findings.
