Job description

Acting as Geeng’s go-to technical product expert, the Field Applications Scientist will design and deliver product demonstrations and hands‑on training sessions directly in customer laboratories, covering all modules of DiagNow solution. Across the French, Belgium, Netherland and Luxemburg territory, the Field Applications Scientist will offer customer‑centric, solution‑driven guidance and resolve technical issues as they arise.

While the role is primarily customer‑facing, strong internal teamwork is essential: the Field Applications Scientist will work hand in hand with the territory sales team, the technical service team and marketing.

By sharing field insights, the Field Applications Scientist will help the organisation better understand the technical hurdles and advantages linked to the use of DiagNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with sales representatives throughout the sales cycle, taking part in promotional events, customer product demonstrations, DiagNow installations and hands‑on user training.
  • Represent Geeng at conferences, trade shows, workshops and seminars, whether local, regional, national or international, as needed
  • Handle first‑level troubleshooting and log every case in our Customer Relationship Management tool
  • Build and nurture lasting relationships with both current and prospective customers, gain a deep understanding of their applications, deliver outstanding support and act as the “voice of the customer” within Geeng.
  • Keep a close watch on market trends, emerging applications and the competitive landscape.
  • Launch and drive partnerships with external collaborators to produce high‑value scientific and marketing content (publications, presentations, application notes…).
  • Contribute to New Product Introduction by taking part in internal product validation and coordinating external customer validation programmes (e.g. beta test sites, early‑access accounts)
Profile & Qualifications
  • Higher education degree in a relevant life science discipline
  • Knowledge in qPCR, digital PCR and next‑generation sequencing technologies. Solid hands‑on expertise is an advantage.
  • Data management and software development experience or Bio‑informatic skills.
  • Comfortable with AI usage and prompting
  • Experience in, or familiarity with, diagnostic, GMP, and veterinary laboratory environments and terminology is a clear plus
  • Preferable prior experience in a customer‑facing position
  • Proactive, adaptable and well‑organised, with a strong team spirit
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, is essential
  • This is a home‑based position

The territory covers France and the Benelux, with 60‑80% of working time spent travelling
