Nexans in Lyon, France is creating a new Extrusion Process Engineer position to support its manufacturing sites worldwide. You will be recognized as a technical expert in cable extrusion processes, contributing to performance improvements at industrial sites.

The role blends R&D, manufacturing, simulation, and testing, with collaboration across functions and a focus on rheology, modelling, and AI-driven productivity improvements. English is required and the role is on-site in Lyon.

Competenze

• Strong knowledge of polymer materials and rheological behavior.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Catia, or equivalent tools.
• Expertise in numerical simulation and finite element analysis.
• Strong data analysis capabilities.
• Interest in correlating simulation results with real industrial performance.
• Professional level of English for international collaboration.

Mansioni

• Analyze production data and provide process optimization recommendations.
• Perform numerical simulations of extrusion line components.
• Support manufacturing sites in solving industrial challenges: increase line speed, reduce defects, address ovality, reduce self-heating.
• Participate in industrial trials to validate solutions.
• Develop process solutions using rheology, modeling, and simulation.
• Serve as technical interface between plants and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with R&D, Purchasing, Industrial teams and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Promote knowledge sharing and team expertise development.
