Nexans in Lyon is seeking an Extrusion Process Engineer to optimize cable manufacturing processes across sites. You will analyze data, run simulations, and develop innovative solutions at the crossroads of R&D, manufacturing, simulation, and testing.

The role requires strong knowledge of polymer materials and rheology, CAD/FEM experience, and English for international collaboration. You will work with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and share knowledge.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of polymer materials and rheological behavior.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Catia, or equivalent tools.
• Expertise in numerical simulation and finite element analysis.
• Strong data analysis capabilities.
• Interest in correlating simulation results with real industrial performance.
• Professional level of English for international collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Analyze production data and provide process optimization recommendations.
• Perform numerical simulations of extrusion line components.
• Support manufacturing sites in solving industrial challenges, including increasing line speed and reducing defects.
• Participate in industrial trials to validate proposed technical solutions.
• Develop innovative process solutions using rheology, modeling, and simulation concepts.
• Act as the technical interface between manufacturing plants and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, Purchasing, Industrial teams, and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
