Eddyfi Technologies seeks an Expert Applications – Ultrasons for in-depth UT/PAUT product application knowledge. Based in Paris, you will support sales, analyze customer needs, and develop tailored solutions with field experience across industrial inspections.

You will train customers, provide on-site support, create technical content, and collaborate with R&D to evolve products. Frequent travel within EMEA/APAC is expected.

Qualifications

• UT/PAUT inspections in the field required.
• COFREND certification (ISO 9712) Level 2 or 3 preferred.
• Advanced English (spoken and written) required.

Position Summary:-

Eddyfi Technologies is seeking an Expert Applications – Ultrasons to serve as a key technical reference for internal teams and customers, providing in-depth knowledge of products and their applications.

The position is based in Paris, at Eddyfi Technologies’ offices in Villebon-sur-Yvette, and is part of the company’s ET/UT product line. The role focuses primarily on Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) technologies and requires practical field experience involving actual inspections in industrial environments.

The Expert Applications – Ultrasons will understand customer technology needs and collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and recommend effective solutions. The role combines technical expertise, customer support, product application, training, project coordination, and collaboration with research and development teams.

Responsibilities:-

• Support the sales team during demonstrations, customer visits, and technical calls by presenting product capabilities and answering technical questions.


• Analyze customer requirements to recommend standard products or collaborate with the custom applications team to develop tailored solutions.


• Conduct technical feasibility tests to ensure that proposed solutions meet customer requirements and performance standards.


• Train customers in product use through practical sessions and clear, appropriate training materials.


• Provide after-sales technical support, including on-site troubleshooting and communication with customers regarding technical issues.


• Create technical content in collaboration with the marketing team, including blogs, webinars, and workshops.


• Participate in conferences to promote the company’s technical expertise.


• Manage semi-customized product projects by coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, deadlines, and budget requirements are met.


• Support production by improving technical documentation and facilitating the effective transfer of products toward autonomous manufacturing.


• Work closely with the R&D team on product development and evolution by providing field feedback and conducting application trials.

Qualifications:-

• Technical or scientific education at Bac+2 to Bac+5 level, such as BTS, BUT, bachelor's degree, or engineering school qualification.


• A background in mechanics, physical measurements, or materials is preferred.


• A COFREND certification in ultrasonic testing under ISO 9712, Level 2 or Level 3, is ideally preferred.


• At least 8 years of relevant experience.


• Demonstrated experience conducting UT inspections in the field.


• Proven field experience in UT/PAUT inspection, with actual industrial inspection experience considered essential.


• Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.


• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to identify win-win solutions in a customer service environment.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.


• Ability to train personnel and prepare clear and concise technical reports.


• Ability to work under tight deadlines with autonomy, rigor, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.


• Availability for frequent travel, primarily within the EMEA and APAC regions, as well as internationally according to project requirements.

• The successful candidate must be comfortable supporting customers, internal teams, sales activities, product applications, and technical projects.


• The position requires frequent travel, primarily across EMEA and APAC, with international travel as required by projects.


• Advanced English proficiency is required.


• For positions based in Quebec, French proficiency in both spoken and written communication is required, along with functional English skills to support international offices and customers. This specific Quebec language requirement does not apply to the Paris-based position described here.
