Description of the Team/Project

This goal of the project is to demonstrate measurement-based quantum algorithms using Quandela's single photon sources. The single photons are entangled in polarization in a linear optics scheme and generate resource states called cluster states. We send these states through a tomography setup to both characterize and apply measurement-based gates. This project is lead by a PhD student and the intern will be working with her on the experiment and on the data analysis.

Your Key Responsibilities

The intern will develop their skills in a quantum optics labs. This includes:

  • Alignment of optical modules
  • Control of electronic modules
  • Data analysis
  • Optimisation of the entanglement generation and measurement

Education & Background

  • M1 or M2 student in quantum physics

Technical Skills

  • Python
  • Master knowledge in quantum physics
  • Bonus: Optics alignment and/or electronics control skills

Languages

  • At least B2 in English
  • C1 in French or English
  • Swile Card (meal vouchers)
  • 50% participation in transportation costs
  • Possibility of remote work
  • Internship Allowance between €1,200 and €1,400 per month
  • 1,5 days off per month, cumulative
