Contract Details

• Contract: 12-month contract

• Extensions: Potential for extension, subject to programme requirements

• Location: Preferably France, but candidates based anywhere in Europe will be considered

• Travel: Occasional travel to France and the USA may be required

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced European E-Invoicing Lead to lead the delivery of e-invoicing requirements across multiple European countries and implementation releases.

The role will be responsible for coordinating business requirements, solution alignment and delivery across Tax, Finance, Source-to-Pay (S2P), Lead-to-Cash (L2C), Intercompany, Technology and country teams. The successful candidate will translate complex regulatory requirements into clear business and functional requirements for SAP S/4HANA and connected e-invoicing solutions.

As the key point of contact for European e-invoicing, you will manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, decisions and delivery readiness across country implementations, while providing guidance and support to junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of e-invoicing requirements across multiple European countries and releases.

• Coordinate requirements, solution design and delivery activities across Tax, Finance, S2P, L2C, Intercompany, Technology and local country teams.

• Translate European e-invoicing and regulatory requirements into clear business, functional and system requirements.

• Ensure requirements are appropriately reflected within SAP S/4HANA and connected e-invoicing solutions.

• Lead alignment between global, regional and country stakeholders to ensure consistent and scalable solutions.

• Manage cross-country solution dependencies, risks, issues, decisions and delivery actions.

• Assess and manage implementation readiness across individual country releases.

• Ensure regulatory and business requirements are understood, documented and delivered within agreed timelines.

• Act as the key subject matter contact for European e-invoicing, providing expertise and guidance to project and business stakeholders.

• Provide guidance, coaching and knowledge sharing to junior team members.

• Support effective communication between business, functional, technical and country teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Contribute to the development of standardised and sustainable e-invoicing solutions across Europe.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Strong functional experience with SAP S/4HANA in a Finance, Tax or related business process environment.

• Hands-on experience with SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) is essential.

• Strong understanding of e-invoicing processes, requirements and regulatory frameworks, preferably across multiple European countries.

• Demonstrable experience translating regulatory or business requirements into functional and system requirements.

• Experience working across complex, multi-country SAP implementations or transformation programmes.

• Strong stakeholder management experience across business, technology and country organisations.

• Proven ability to manage multiple dependencies, risks, decisions and priorities across concurrent releases.

• Strong understanding of end-to-end Finance processes, with exposure to areas such as S2P, L2C, Intercompany and Tax.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, international and matrixed organisation.

• Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior team members.

Desirable Experience

• Experience delivering e-invoicing programmes across multiple European jurisdictions.

• Knowledge of European e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements.

• Experience integrating SAP S/4HANA and SAP DRC with external or local e-invoicing platforms.

• Experience working with Tax, Finance and Technology stakeholders within large-scale transformation programmes.

• Experience working within agile or structured programme delivery environments.
