A vacancy for a Helicopter Onboard Computers and Displays specialist (m / f) has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. The successful applicant will join the Computers & Electronics department.
Helicopters integrate more and more advanced functions: situation awareness, mission management, flight control, which require increasing processing and graphical capabilities on-board the aircraft.
On the other hand, the integration constraints are high, due to limited space and environmental constraints.
This leads to develop highly integrated computers and displays technologies, compliant with stringent environmental conditions (thermal, vibration, EMI), which becomes increasingly challenging.
In this context, Airbus Helicopters aims at selecting technologies and suppliers to reach the best compromise between performance and integration without endangering safety.
Major economic hub with Marseille-Provence Airport, Marignane is a dynamic city in the southeast of France. It is located near the cities of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, which host a rich cultural and tourist offer. Close to the beaches of the Côte Bleue, it offers many options for water sports activities.
Within the Systems Lead Function, you will manage the selection and the development of onboard computers and displays, and the associated technologies from early stage reflections, to supplier selection, development, integration, certification, Entry into service and through-life support and upgrades.
Establish the requirement specification of the equipment based on the needs defined by the system architects and the function design responsible.
Assess the technical proposals provided by the suppliers.
Manage the suppliers throughout the development.
Lead the main design and qualification reviews.
Manage the interface between the suppliers and Airbus Helicopters specialists.
Provide technical support for helicopter integration, ground and flight tests and for the Final Assembly Line.
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
