As part of a job creation, we are looking for our future cost estimator to support the growth of CIS and complement the teams at the tender center in Marseille.
Objective: Estimate all the necessary costs to build up a budget ensuring the cost efficiency and profitability of each new commercial project
MAIN TASKS
Gather all the necessary information to build up the budget
- Analyse tenders & Scope of works and the other documentation relative to the commercial operation.
- Consult clients, subcontractors and all internal contributors to gather all the necessary elements to build up a proper budget (manning, personnel, material/ goods and other costs).
- Engage with procurement teams (and if required suppliers) to validate pricing assumptions and supply chain strategies.
Build up the budget and establish the cost estimation
- Prepare cost, materials and labour estimates.
- Estimate costs of goods & services.
- Build up the whole budgets with detailed cost estimation integrating the margin to ensure an efficient and profitable commercial operation.
- Prepare a detailed list of related assumptions.
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- Identify cost risks, exclusions, assumptions, contingencies and pricing sensitivities.
- Conduct what-if analyses and scenario modelling for key cost drivers such as labour, food inflation, logistics, exchange rates and occupancy levels.
- Recommend mitigation measures to improve budget reliability.
- Present cost models, assumptions and pricing strategies to management and bid review committees.
Follow up the project & budget
- Set up financial indicators, cost monitoring and reporting systems, and procedures.
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
Provide an administrative support to the Business Development Department
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.
- Analyse business or financial data and maintain it in the systems or databases.
- Conduct special studies to develop and establish standards on Manning, food, other costs and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
- Provide any needed support as per request of the management
- Maintain and continuously improve Costing tools andtemplates.
- Develop lessons learned and historical cost benchmarks from awarded and lost contracts.
- Participate in post-award and post-bid reviews to improve future estimates.
PROFILS
- Bachelor in Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing or other
- Fluent English, and another language would be an asset
- At least 5 years or more - proven experience in Commercial/ Finance
- Operational Understanding of catering, housekeeping, laundry, camp management and facility services operations.
