The Opportunity

We are working with a dynamic global management and technology consulting firm making significant investment in its Insurance business in France.

The firm is looking for an Equity Partner to lead its Insurance Consulting practice, taking responsibility for the overall development of the sector across its different consulting capabilities.

This is broader than a specialist Insurance Risk role.

The successful individual will help shape the firm's entire approach to the Insurance market across areas including:

• Business Transformation
• CFO & Finance Transformation
• People & HR Transformation
• Operations
• Data & AI

You do not need to be the technical specialist across every one of these areas.

The critical requirement is that you understand the Insurance industry, have the senior relationships and commercial credibility to identify opportunities across these topics, and can bring the appropriate specialists into the client when required.

This is a significant Equity Partner position with genuine responsibility for shaping the future of the business.

The Role

As Insurance Practice Lead, you will take responsibility for developing the firm's overall Insurance business in France.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing senior relationships with major French insurers.
• Identifying and originating significant consulting opportunities.
• Developing the strategic direction of the Insurance practice.
• Connecting Insurance clients with specialists across Risk, Strategy, Finance, HR, Technology, Data and AI.
• Building new propositions around emerging client requirements.
• Leading major client engagements and senior executive relationships.
• Developing and mentoring the existing Insurance consulting team.
• Recruiting additional senior talent as the practice grows.
• Collaborating with international Partners and practices.
• Helping position the firm as a major challenger within the French Insurance consulting market.

This is fundamentally a commercial leadership role.

We are therefore looking for someone with a strong track record of:

• Personally originating consulting business.
• Developing major Insurance accounts.
• Building relationships with C-suite executives.
• Creating opportunities rather than simply delivering existing projects.
• Cross-selling multiple consulting capabilities.
• Developing propositions and taking them to market.Building and growing consulting teams.

Candidates should be comfortable discussing their personal commercial performance, client relationships, revenue generation and the opportunities they believe they could develop.

Who We Are Looking For

You will currently be operating at Partner, Equity Partner, Managing Director or equivalent senior leadership level within a management consultancy, technology consultancy, Big Four firm or specialist Insurance consulting organisation.

You should have:

• Deep knowledge of the French Insurance market.
• Strong relationships with major French insurers and senior executives.
• A proven consulting sales and business development track record.
• The ability to understand client requirements across multiple consulting disciplines.
• Experience leading senior consulting teams.
• An interest in AI, technology and the future of consulting.
• The ability to operate effectively within an international organisation.
• A highly collaborative leadership style.
• Fluent French

You do not need to be the leading technical expert in Risk, Finance Transformation, HR, Strategy, Data and Technology simultaneously.

Instead, you should be capable of sitting with the CEO, CFO, CRO, COO or other senior Insurance executives, understanding their strategic priorities and bringing together the right capabilities to solve them.
