SilTerra Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an Equipment Technician/Sr.

Technician to manage daily shift equipment and process activities in the CLEAN TECH module. The role emphasizes safety, proper custody of tools, and supporting PM scheduling with Equipment Technicians. The ideal candidate collaborates with manufacturing engineers to meet module objectives, assists in plant-wide tool status management, and mentors technicians during on‑the‑job training.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive maintenance (PM) processes and routine maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Equipment Technicians and manufacturing engineers.
• Commitment to safety practices and proper custody of tools and equipment.

Responsabilités

• Maintain good housekeeping on the production floor and maintenance areas.
• Manage day-to-day shift equipment or process-related activities with Equipment Technicians.
• Ensure safety practices and safe custody of tools, equipment, and module properties.
• Assist Equipment Technicians in organizing/forecasting spare parts, consumables, supplies and tools during PM.
• Maintain tool clock-in/clock-out and add comments on-site.
• Carry out PM per schedule and specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to meet module objectives and production goals.
• Follow up recipe releasing/shutdown in X-site/RCS per OCAP guidance.
• Mentor technicians during their on‑the‑job training (OJT).
• Track CADET events and closures with Process and Equipment Engineers.
• Escalate issues promptly to sustain tool manufacturing availability.
• Attend pass-down meetings and report to the Engineering team in Clean Tech.
• Support equipment and process engineers in improving uptime, process optimization, and data collection.

Requirements

• To manage day-to-day shift equipment or process related activities, working together with Equipment Technicians.
• Ensure good safety practice and also safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module.
• To assist Equipment Technicians in organize/forecast all spare parts, consumables, supplies & tools during the PM.
• To maintain X-site state of tool on time, clock on, clock off and add comments appropriately.
• Carry out preventive maintenance (PM) as per PM schedule and specifications.
• Work as a team with manufacturing engineers to meet the Module?s objectives and production goals.
• To follow up in proper recipe releasing/shutdown in X-site/RCS by referring to OCAP.
• Take on role of mentor for technicians during their OJT
• To follow up all CADET events and closure of all CADETs in liaise with Process and Equipment Engineers.
• To follow proper Escalation procedure in time to sustain tool Manufacturing Availability.To assist in annotating the SPC for OOC/OOS situations and proper lot disposition.
• To attend pass-down meetings, daily module meeting, prepare notes and send report to all Engineering team in Clean Tech area.
• To support equipment engineers and process engineers? activities in improving equipment uptime, process optimization, recipe creation and test runs, data collection and cost reduction activities.
• Follow and comply with any procedures and measures stipulated in the spec.
