Caressant Care is seeking an Environmental Service Supervisor to oversee maintenance, repairs, and grounds operations at our long‑term care facilities. You will lead a team to ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance across the site in Lindsay, Ontario.

The successful candidate will have basic mechanical/electrical knowledge, strong reading/comprehension skills, and the ability to lift varying weights. This full-time role offers competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to read, write, and understand oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals related to equipment and safety.
• Must be able to stop, lift and carry items of various weights.

Responsabilités

• Oversee routine maintenance and minor repairs for facility equipment, fixtures, and grounds.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with applicable codes and regulations.
• Coordinate with care and operations teams to maintain a safe, clean environment.

Caressant Care is looking for a passionate Environmental Service Supervisor to join our team of care providers. We have over 50 years of experience creating a comfortable, caring home environment where our residents across Ontario can receive high‑quality care. We proudly serve over 1,500 residents across 15 long‑term care homes and 10 retirement homes, primarily in small towns, building tight‑knit communities where everyone looks out for one another.

What You Bring

Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for general routine maintenance, minor repairs, and servicing operations for the facility’s equipment, fixtures, and grounds in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.

Skills And Knowledge Required

• Grade 12 education required.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Ability to read, write, and understand oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals related to equipment and safety.
• Must be able to stop, lift and carry items of various weights.

The rate of pay is $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
