Job summary

ERM is seeking a motivated Master’s student for an internship in Paris within the Capital Projects Delivery team from January 2027 to end of June 2027. You will contribute to Nature & Water strategies and provide technical support on ESDD and ESIA in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Based in our Paris office, you will collaborate with international teams on client projects, contribute to business development, and gain exposure to biodiversity and sustainability work.

Qualifications

• Master's student in environmental science or related field.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities with interest in impacts, dependencies, risk assessment and nature/water strategy.
• Ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
• Interest in leading Nature frameworks (GBF, TNFD, IPBES, SBTN), water stewardship, and biodiversity management.
• Languages: French and English (level C1).
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to sign an internship agreement with university for the duration of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Support Nature & Water strategies topics such as TNFD alignment, biodiversity risk assessment, and sustainability reporting.
• Contribute to Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA) for capital projects.
• Assist with regulatory permitting activities for client projects (e.g., renewable energy, data centers, linear infrastructures).
• Occasionally assist business development by developing commercial proposals.
• Collaborate with Paris-based team and international colleagues on client work.
