Responsibilities
  • Assist project and program management with design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water remediation programs
  • Data analysis and environmental reporting; contribute to technical memoranda and reports
  • Support remediation construction, treatment system design, and O&M documentation
  • Develop calculations, sketches, diagrams, and final working drawings under supervision
  • Utilize computer software (e.g., CAD, GIS, data analysis tools) for engineering problem solving
  • Conduct site visits at industrial, federal, commercial, and municipal client facilities
  • Perform 60% field and 40% office work; travel locally and potentially US-wide, depending on project
  • Support budget and schedule adherence under supervision
  • Field work in appropriate locations in coordination with senior engineers
Qualifications
  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    BA/BS in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field; 0 years of related experience or equivalent
  • Valid US Driver's License; must pass AECOM Motor Vehicle screening
  • U.S. Citizenship required; travel for this position is expected
  • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification is preferred
  • Additional Qualifications:
    General knowledge of basic engineering, chemistry, and environmental sciences; experience or interest in environmental remediation
  • Proficiency in standard office software; strong written and verbal communications skills with clients and regulators
  • Ability to learn on-the-job; capable of working independently in office and field
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally extend travel
