Job summary

FM is a leading property insurer for large businesses, with a global presence and a focus on engineering-based risk management. The internship offers hands-on experience in risk servicing and engineering quality, combining office work, field exposure, and training.

Interns will gain insight into FM’s business model, loss-prevention standards, and risk identification processes. The program includes site visits when possible, training modules for Field Engineers, and opportunities to work with

Qualifications

• Final-year Master’s engineering student.
• Enthusiastic, collaborative, and eager to learn.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects.
• Strong initiative, time management, and analytical skills.
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages (Spanish, Italian, German) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Emergency response templates (fire, flood, etc.).
• Tutorials for external tools (hot work permits, impairment permits).
• Company presentations and infographics for client meetings.
• Update canned recommendations library.
• Research photovoltaic solar panel regulations across major countries and compare with FM Data Sheets.
• Customer Service Desk (impairments management).
• Office flood studies.
• Special projects and job shadowing.
