Airbus Defence and Space in Toulouse is seeking an Engineering Quality Manager to join the Quality Transversal Connected Intelligence team. You will drive end-to-end quality processes, ensure engineering work products meet requirements, and support project teams across the lifecycle.

The role requires at least 2 years in quality, strong communication, and knowledge of ISO 9001, AQAP, and quality frameworks such as CMMI or V-model. Fluency in French and English is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality environment.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AQAP quality management systems.
• Familiarity with engineering processes and best practices.
• Experience with auditing processes and systems.
• Knowledge of process frameworks such as CMMI or V-model.

• Ensure technical requirements are documented, baselined and understood by the engineering project team.
• Ensure engineering project teams perform quality controls and reviews as per plans.
• Capture and drive resolution of non-conformities to technical requirements.
• Develop and validate test plans and ensure appropriate test environments are prepared.

Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an Engineering Quality Manager (m/f) to join our Quality Transversal Connected Intelligence based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a transnational team ensuring an efficient quality management system to enable the division to deliver sustainable E2E Quality products and services. As part of the Quality Transversal Connected Intelligence, you will be involved in supporting engineering projects teams to develop and implement the technical solution, on time, on cost and on quality.

Your challenges

• Assure technical requirements are documented, baselined and understood by the engineering project team


• Assure engineering project teams perform all the quality controls and engineering reviews required in the engineering and quality plans


• Assure problems reports, any non-conformities to technical requirements are captured, followed and resolved


• Assure verification and validation test plans are developed and test environment created


• Facilitate test readiness reviews and test review boards


• Facilitate lessons learnt review with the engineering project team and support the implementation of improvement actions


• Develop Quality management and software quality assurance plans for new projects and assure that the engineering plans and work packages adequately cover the work breakdown structure defined by the project team and the product breakdown structure defined by the system architect.

Your profile

• Min 2 years of professional experience in quality environment


• Autonomous and proactive way of working


• Profound communication and interpersonal skills


• Experience in program and project management would be a plus


• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AQAP quality management system


• Knowledge of engineering processes and best practice


• Knowledge of auditing processes and systems


• Knowledge of process frameworks e.g. CMMI, V-model would be a plus


• Experience of performing within a multi-functional team environment


• Languages : Fluent in French and English.
