Mirakl, a global leader in marketplace software, is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow the Connect team split between Bordeaux and Paris. You’ll own technical leadership, mentorship, and delivery for a product powering AI-assisted seller experiences.

Based in Paris or Bordeaux with one remote day per week, you’ll drive roadmaps with R&D, oversee code quality, and recruit talent, while balancing hands-on coding with people management.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Java development with recent versions.
• Minimum 2 years in a team lead or similar management role.
• Proven ability to balance hands-on contribution with people management.
• Experience delivering complex projects in a microservices environment.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of user stories, conduct code reviews, and contribute to design, development, testing, and deployments.
• Develop roadmaps with R&D, align priorities with tech leads, and partner with product/design teams.
• Onboard, mentor, and nurture team talent; establish best practices in clean code and testing.
• Resolve blockers, arbitrate decisions, and ensure timely delivery of commitments.
• Manage and mentor 4-5 developers across distributed locations.
• Participate in AI adoption within products and internal practices.

The Team You'll Join

You’ll be part of our Connect team, reporting to Rémi Fouilloux , Senior Engineering Manager. The team is split between Bordeaux and Paris.

Together, you’ll be building and scaling Mirakl Connect, an innovative solution that simplifies sellers' daily lives through a central hub powered by the latest advances in AI.

Location: Based in Paris or Bordeaux office with one day of remote work per week.

Your Impact

• Drive technical excellence: Take ownership of user stories, conduct code reviews, and actively contribute to design, development, testing, and production deployments
• Coordinate cross-functional delivery: Develop roadmaps with R&D, align priorities with other tech leads, and partner with product and design teams to deliver on commitments with high velocity and quality
• Develop talent and best practices: Ensure successful onboarding, identify and nurture team talent, contribute to recruitment, and establish best practices in clean code, testing, and pair programming
• Remove blockers and enable success: Step in to resolve technical challenges, make arbitration decisions, and ensure the team delivers on its commitments
• Lead and grow your team: Manage and mentor 4-5 developers, conducting one-on-ones, performance reviews, and fostering team cohesion and motivation across distributed locations
• Participate in the adoption of AI : within our products but also in internal practices

What You'll Bring to the Role

Experience:

• At least 5 years of Java development experience with recent versions

• 30/45-minute call with someone from the recruitment team to discuss your key projects, ask technical questions, and present the position in details
• 45-minute technical interview on Google Meet with an experienced developer to discuss our technical stack and assess your knowledge
• 1-hour business discussion with the Senior Engineering Manager
• 2 x 45-minute STAR interviews to assess your alignment with our values and meet other stakeholders
