Betclic, leader européen des paris sportifs, recherche un Engineering Manager pour diriger une équipe d'ingénieurs. Ce poste clé implique la gestion d’équipe, le soutien technique, et une collaboration pour délivrer des fonctionnalités impactantes. Le candidat idéal possède une solide expérience en management dans des environnements B2C ainsi qu'une passion pour le sport et la technologie.

Qualifications

  • Expérience de 5 ans minimum en tant que Manager d'Ingénierie dans des plateformes B2C.
  • Forte compétence en gestion de la livraison et développement des personnes.
  • Capacité à aligner l'exécution technique avec les objectifs produits et business.

Responsabilités

  • Foster une culture d’autonomie et de propriété au sein de l’équipe.
  • Promouvoir les meilleures pratiques d’ingénierie et contribuer à la feuille de route technique.
  • Assurer la livraison de la feuille de route produit de manière opportune et de haute qualité.

As an Engineering Manager, you lead a Squad (feature team) within one of Betclic’s key product areas. You support a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, technical excellence, and collaboration. You work closely with the PO / PM, Designers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful features while continuously improving team performance and code quality.

YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC

In this role, your main missions will be:

Team Management & Leadership

  • Foster a culture of ownership, autonomy, and impact within the team.
  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support individual development plans.
  • Lead recruitment efforts and ensure a balanced mix of skills.
  • Guide the team through change and manage resistance with empathy and transparency.
  • Act as the main communication point between your team and the wider organization

Technical Guidance

  • Support the team in making sound technical decisions aligned with long-term product and business goals.
  • Promote engineering best practices (clean code, testing, CI/CD, observability, security).
  • Contribute to the technical roadmap by identifying improvements and anticipating future challenges.

Delivery Management

  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the product roadmap.
  • Proactively manage dependencies and risks in collaboration with other teams.
  • Track delivery KPIs, analyze results, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Support FinOps efforts through cost-conscious technical decisions.

Production Centricity

  • Ensure the team owns and operates its services in production.
  • Oversee incident management and resolution, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.
  • Promote a “you build it, you run it” mindset.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm!

This job is for you if:

  • You have at least 5 years of experience as an Engineering Manager, leading agile teams within modern, large-scale, real-time B2C platforms
  • You bring a strong technical background, a solid grasp of delivery management, and a genuine commitment to people development.
  • You’re able to align technical execution with product and business goals, and you consistently drive improvements in both code quality and delivery performance.
  • You are recognized for your ability to mentor engineers, build career paths, and recruit and develop talent in fast-paced environments.
  • You're passionate about sports, gaming, and tech-driven experiences.
  • You're fluent in English (used daily), with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You’re structured, reliable, and know how to prioritize effectively to deliver value while growing a high-performing team.

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?

If your application is shortlisted, Sébastien or Marine will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes). Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).

Next, you will meet your future manager (HOE), followed by you future Tech Director. Finally, Sébastien or Marine will conduct a final HR interview to review your AssessFirst results together.

The recruitment process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
