ixolabs.ai is seeking an Engineering Expert to guide AI in understanding and solving real-world engineering challenges across mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical disciplines. You will evaluate AI-generated solutions, provide precise feedback, and help build practical explanations aligned with industry standards.

This is a project-based, ongoing role starting immediately, with an expected commitment of 10–20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, etc.). Bachelor's with extensive industry experience also considered.
• Demonstrated expertise across at least two engineering fields with foundational cross-disciplinary knowledge.
• Ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems using relevant theories and tools.
• Experience with engineering software such as CAD, FEA, or circuit simulators is a plus.

Overview

Engineering is the application of scientific principles to solve real-world problems, and AI needs to master this practical intelligence. As an Engineering Expert, you will be pivotal in training AI to understand, analyze, and generate solutions across the diverse disciplines of engineering, from structural design to circuit analysis.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated solutions for mechanical engineering problems, including stress analysis, thermodynamics, and machine design.
• Assess AI's understanding of electrical engineering concepts, such as circuit theory, digital logic, power systems, and control systems.
• Provide expert feedback on civil engineering content, covering structural analysis, fluid mechanics, geotechnical engineering, and transportation planning.
• Review and correct AI outputs related to chemical engineering processes, reaction kinetics, mass transfer, and process control.
• Create detailed explanations for engineering principles, design methodologies, and industry standards across various disciplines.
• Formulate challenging engineering problems that require interdisciplinary knowledge and practical application of theory.
