Energy Efficiency Program Training Coordinator

to enhance the effectiveness of the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program. This role presents a unique chance to drive innovative workforce development initiatives by providing impactful technical training, fostering strategic relationships, and supporting the advancement of energy efficiency programs in both residential and business sectors. The Training Coordinator will collaborate closely with Business and Residential Ally Managers and Field Teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality training experience.

Location: Leidos is committed to offering employment opportunities to the utility ratepayers of Illinois. As such, we strongly prefer candidates residing within 75 miles of Collinsville, IL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Sourcing & Delivery
    • Identify, assess, and secure diverse training formats including manufacturer-led sessions, workshops, third-party modules, and online content.
    • Promote learning opportunities from local expos, trade shows, and conventions that benefit Program Allies and internal teams.
    • Facilitate live and asynchronous training delivery.
  • Ally Communication & Coordination
    • Organize and lead regular Program Ally update meetings (monthly, quarterly, annually) in collaboration with subject matter experts.
    • Act as the primary contact for training inquiries from Allies across various trades and program channels.
  • Training Resource Management
    • Maintain a comprehensive repository of training resources, categorized by trade, channel, and measure type.
    • Track and share information on distributor and agency training events with Program Allies.
    • Manage the budget for Program Ally trainings and any associated subcontracting.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Connect Program Allies with internal experts to ensure clear and consistent messaging.
    • Work with Marketing, Technical, and Field teams to align training content and delivery with the program’s objectives.
    • Lead Market Transformation training initiatives from planning through to successful execution, including sourcing instructors, coordinating venues, and managing event logistics.
  • Relationship Management
    • Serve as a key liaison with Distribution, Supply Chain, Manufacturer Agencies, Trade Organizations, and other industry contacts.
    • Collaborate with Distributor Midstream field teams to forge strong partnerships with supply chains and manufacturer agencies.
    • Build and maintain relationships with technical contacts within supply chain and industry organizations.
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in energy efficiency or workforce development, or 5+ years of equivalent industry experience (Relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Experience working with contractors, distributors, or program allies in energy efficiency, construction, or similar fields.
  • Adept at delivering engaging presentations and technical training to diverse audiences, from novice to expert.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple stakeholder groups and training formats efficiently.
  • Ability to handle training documentation, event calendars, and maintain accurate reporting data.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Ameren Illinois territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
