Airbus Defence and Space SAS in Toulouse seeks an End-to-End System Lead Engineer for the OneSat program. You will lead end-to-end engineering activities including requirements management, system architecture, and customer interfaces across ground and space segments.

The role involves occasional travel within France/Europe/world to customer premises and security clearance eligibility. Permanent position with strong development opportunities and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in satellite telecommunications engineering.
• Knowledge of ground segment (operations, user terminals, gateways).
• Knowledge of payload operations and design.
• Systems engineering knowledge including requirement management.
• Formalize trade-offs and take associated technical decisions.
• Good communication skills (internally & externally).
• Team spirit, autonomy, adaptability.

Responsabilités

• Understand and capture Customer telecommunication mission needs & external and internal system interfaces.
• Consolidate End-to-end System Concept of Operations taking into account Customer constraints and OneSat portfolio definitions.
• Interface regularly with ground components, satellite and operation Architects to define a suitable system solution for the customer.
• Support system IVV activities for the program.
• Monitor and plan end-to-end activities; ensure timely, quality and cost-effective problem solving.
• Organize and participate to technical system workshops relevant to the project scope.
• Prepare and participate to project reviews with customers including data pack elaboration on system topics.
• Support customer project manager in tracking and negotiating contractual technical changes related to system aspects.

Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an End-to-End System Lead Engineer - OneSat Program (m/f) to join the « OneSat Chief Engineering» department located in Toulouse Palays Site, France.

For OneSat applications programs, you will be responsible for leading End-to-End Engineering activities including management of system requirements, system architecture definition and justification and interfacing with customer for end-to-end and ground system architecture topics.

The present role might require some occasional travels in France/Europe/World to customer premises to fulfil business needs and necessitates security clearance.

Your challenges:

• Support customer project manager in the tracking and negotiation of contractual technical changes related to system aspects as result of project evolutions or customer complementary requirements.

Your profile:

• At least 5 years of experience in satellite telecommunications engineering,
• Knowledge of ground segment (operations, user terminals, gateways),
• Knowledge of payload operations and design,
• System engineering knowledge including requirement management,
• Formalize trade-offs and take associated technical decisions,
• Good communication skills (internally & externally) and ability to work/interface/cooperate with different engineering entities,
• Result-oriented, interpersonal skills, diplomacy,
• Team spirit,Autonomy, adaptability,
• Language Skills: English at negotiation level.
