Responsibilities
- Posting of all business transactions in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Processing of accounts receivable, including dunning, account reconciliation, and clarification
- Support with monthly and annual financial statements
- Conducting intercompany reconciliations
- Close cooperation with related departments (Controlling, Accounting, Sales)
- Contributing to process optimization within the accounting department
- Maintenance and preparation of reports, analyses, and statistics
- Participation in internal and external audits
- Contact person for inquiries regarding invoices and booking transactions
Applicant's profile
- Completed commercial training
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, preferably in an international environment
- Sound knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB), especially in accounts receivable and bank accounting
- Knowledge of accounts payable accounting is an advantage
- Confident handling of ERP systems
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
- Basic knowledge of VAT, cash discount accounting, and dunning procedures
- Experience with intercompany reconciliation and monthly/annual financial statements according to HGB is desirable
- Fluent German and good working proficiency in English
- Ability to work independently
- Open communication
