Strativ Group is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for the aerospace sector in Paris. You will own the software architecture across onboard and ground applications and contribute to drone open‑source software initiatives.

You’ll lead hardware abstraction, develop robust CI/CD pipelines, and extend PX4-based systems to meet mission requirements in a cutting‑edge aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Embedded Software in the Aerospace sector.
• Proficient in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Familiar with SPI, I2C, UART interfaces.
• Knowledge of microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, Pixhawk) and RTOS concepts.
• Ability to see how components connect in a system.

Embedded Software Engineer (Aerospace sector)

Location: Paris, France

An opportunity to join an exciting an up and coming Aerospace company looking for an Embedded Software Engineer who will own the Software Architecture by bringing your aerospace background to work on the drone open source software.

Responsibilities

• Lead software architecture: Define and evolve the overall architecture of embedded systems across onboard and ground applications, ensuring clear interfaces, modularity, scalability and testability.
• Develop hardware abstraction: Design and implement a hardware abstraction layer that enables sensors, actuators and subsystems to operate as an integrated system while keeping application software independent from specific hardware.
• Establish development processes: Build automated CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, build systems and release processes to support reliable, efficient and continuous software development.
• Develop PX4-based systems: Extend and integrate PX4 flight software and QGroundControl to meet specific platform and mission requirements.

Requirements

• Experience with Embedded Software in the Aerospace sector
• Solid experience with C/C++ or Python
• Experience working with SPI, I2C, UART, etc.
• Understanding of microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, Pixhawk), RTOS concepts.
• A systems mindset thinking beyond your code and understand how everything connects
• Team player
• Interest in UAVs, drones, robotics is a big plus.
