Airbus UpNext in Toulouse (Saint Martin) seeks an Embedded and Application Software Development Engineer. You will develop software applications and support embedded system integration, connecting data streams and APIs across on-board and cloud environments. The role emphasizes offline-ready design and AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate delivery.

The position is based in Toulouse with a CDI-C contract linked to the demonstrator deliverable, starting ASAP and ending around 29 February 2028.

Qualifications

• Experience in full-stack software development with modern web technologies.
• Ability to consume APIs and define API contracts.
• Experience handling high-frequency telemetry data streams on the application side.
• Design offline data-sync strategies for intermittent connectivity.
• Knowledge of networking, VPN tunneling and IPSec, and cloud connectivity.
• Experience hardware/software integration with onboard equipment.

Responsabilités

• Develop software applications and embedded integration as a hands-on engineer.
• Define and develop data pipelines and API contracts for diverse data streams.
• Manage high-frequency telemetry data streams on the application side.
• Design offline modes with local caching and data synchronization.
• Leverage AI-powered coding tools to accelerate development and improve quality.
• Interface with onboard hardware (WAPs/servers) and aircraft bus.
• Ensure connectivity between on-premise apps and cloud infrastructure via VPN/IPSec.
• Integrate IoT sensors and smart assets into the system.
