Job summary

The U.S. Mission in Paris, France is seeking a Chauffeur within the Marine Security Guard (MSG) office to operate official vehicles and support motorcade and TDY assignments in France and Germany.

Requirements include a valid French driver's license B, C and D, two years of professional driving experience, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance. English and French language proficiency are tested. This is a permanent, full-time position with 35-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional driving experience required.
• Valid French driver’s licenses B, C and D.
• Ability to obtain and hold Public Trust (Non-Sensitive/Low-Risk) security clearance.
• English: Limited knowledge; French: Good working knowledge.
• Must begin within 12 weeks of authorization.

Responsibilities

• Drive official vehicle in Paris and surroundings; occasional TDY in France and Germany.
• Maintain vehicles in clean, fueled, and ready condition.
• Submit daily vehicle usage reports and maintenance requests.
• Report safety or mechanical defects to the NCO/Detachment Commander.
