Valeo in Étaples-sur-Mer, France, seeks an Electronics Engineer (Hardware) with a Master’s in Electronic Engineering and 3+ years of hardware development experience. You will design, integrate, and validate electronic subassemblies for EV powertrain solutions, collaborating across production teams and international stakeholders.

Strong problem solving and PDCA/8D methods are valued. The role involves defining specifications, performing environmental and EMC tests, and addressing obsolescence

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electronic Engineering and at least 3 years of professional experience in hardware development.
• Hands-on environment experience close to production challenges.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in international settings.

Responsabilités

• Define technical specifications and adapt electronic architectures to customer needs.
• Perform hardware integration of electronic subassemblies.
• Define and execute test and validation plans (functional, environmental, EMC).
• Contribute technical expertise to responses for proposals.
• Identify alternative components to address obsolescence and streamline costs.
• Assess and validate the impact of changes in components or suppliers.
• Lead root cause analyses and propose corrective actions.
• Present findings in internal and client meetings.

Valeo's Site located in Étaples-sur-Mer, France is a Research & Development center and a production Site. It employs over 1,200 people working on the development and manufacture of electric powertrain solutions (Inverter, Alternator, etc).

We are currently seeking an Electronics Engineer (Hardware) M/F who will carry out engineering tasks, contribute to problem-solving, and support the development of new products and technologies.

Your responsibilities :

• Help define technical specifications and adapt existing electronic architectures to meet our customers' specific needs
• Perform hardware integration of electronic subassemblies
• Define and execute test and validation plans (functional, environmental, EMC) to ensure product compliance
• Contribute your technical expertise when responding to requests for proposals
• Identify alternative components to address obsolescence and part number changes. Streamline costs and secure the supply chain.
• Assess and validate the technical and industrial impact of changes in components or suppliers
• Serve as an expert to lead impact analysis and resolve quality crises
• Conduct root cause analysis and propose sustainable corrective and preventive actions
• Present and participate in internal meetings and client meetings as needed

About you :

• You hold a master's degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering and have at least 3 years of professional experience in the development and design of hardware products.
• You have worked in a hands-on environment, closely involved with production challenges.
• You are also proficient in problem-solving methods such as PDCA and 8D.
• Experience with high-voltage products such as DC/DC converters, OBCs, and inverters is a plus.
• Dynamic and meticulous, you are known for your organizational skills and your ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in demanding environments.
• You are fluent in English and enjoy working in international environments.
