Safran S.A. in France seeks an electrical design engineer with hands-on metro/light rail/EMU experience. You will use CAD tools to support harness design and wiring, interpret complex vehicle architectures, and ensure compliance with railway standards.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with attention to quality, effective stakeholder communication, and a collaborative mindset to deliver reliable electrical subsystems such as traction, control, and door/communication systems.

Description du poste

• Proficiency in CAD tools such as IGE-XAO, E3 Series (E3S), and AutoCAD
• Hands‑on experience with electrical systems in Metro, Light Rail, or EMU rolling stock
• Strong understanding of harness design, wiring, and integrated/CPS schematics
• Knowledge of train systems and the railway industry (preferred)
• Familiarity with system interface requirements
• Experience in selection and sizing of electrical components, including:
  1. Switchgear
  2. Protection devices
  3. Circuit breakers (CB)
  4. Relays and contactors
  5. Connectors, terminals, and related components
• Understanding of applicable railway standards
• Knowledge of key rolling stock subsystems such as traction, door control, and communication systems
• Ability to interpret and understand overall vehicle architecture
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• High attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
