Your Mission

As an Electrical Design Engineer in our Energy team at Tractebel, you contribute to the development of large‑scale energy projects, delivering innovative and efficient engineering solutions. Our team focuses on designing and optimizing energy infrastructure, ensuring reliability, sustainability, and technical excellence to support the transition to a cleaner and more resilient energy future.

Your key responsibilities

• You provide technical and economic activities – consultancy/ design – related to large energy projects;
• You use computer modelling software to produce designs and energy production estimates;
• You prepare project plans, schedules of work and cost estimates for large energy projects;
• You liaise with stakeholders, as investors, suppliers, contractors and other engineering and science professionals;
• You issue Design Notes, Drafts, Specifications, Technical Specifications and Briefs, Progress Reports, etc.;
• You issue/collaborate to the quality assurance plan of your projects;
• You carry out site visits and evaluations for new and existing energy projects;
• You apply the technical regulations and laws relevant for the projects you are involved in;
• You comply with and enforce compliance with the Health/Safety guidelines set out in the Project Safety Plan;
• You receive and share the expertise with the projects teams.

We would love to hear from people with

• Engineering background (Bachelor / Master Degree), preferable in power engineering/electrical field;
• Good knowledge of regulations and permitting related to large energy projects;
• Knowledge of design norms and regulations;
• Knowledge of design and software tools dedicated to energy projects is a plus;
• English proficiency, good knowledge of a second language can be an advantage;
• Very good knowledge of MS Office package;
