Job summary

Saft, part of TotalEnergies, is seeking an Editorial Manager to lead corporate content and develop Saft’s editorial strategy. You will manage a two-person team and translate complex topics into engaging content for internal and external audiences in English and French.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across channels, while driving innovative formats and employee engagement across sites and divisions.

Qualifications

• 10 years of editorial or corporate communications experience, ideally international.
• Excellent English writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience supporting the U.S. market or U.S.-based audiences is highly valued.
• Degree in communications, journalism, political science, humanities or a related field.
• Strong digital awareness and understanding of editorial formats.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content.
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy and curiosity; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work with various stakeholders across countries and levels.
• Previous management experience and ability to develop a small team while remaining hands-on with content.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop Saft’s corporate editorial strategy and guidelines.
• Build and manage the editorial calendar with Communications teams and Divisions.
• Identify stories showcasing Saft’s businesses, projects, people, innovations and commitments.
• Turn complex topics into clear, accessible stories.
• Ensure consistency in tone, messaging and quality across all content and channels.
• Write and edit content in English and French for internal and external audiences.
• Gather information from experts through interviews and research.
• Develop new editorial formats to tell Saft’s stories more directly and humanly.
• Manage a team of two; set priorities and support professional development.
• Oversee editorial, visual and audiovisual content production from brief to publication.
• Brief and coordinate external agencies and content providers when required.
• Collaborate with Press, Social Media and Events & MarCom teams for consistency across activities.
• Engage employees via internal channels like MySaft; build connections with sites and divisions.
