The YMCA of the National Capital Region is seeking a part-time Assistant Educator to help maintain high-quality child care programs. You will support Educators, ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment, and assist with daily routines within the Licensed Child Care Centre.

Qualifications

• ECE diploma or CECE recognized equivalency is an asset.
• Minimum two years of experience working with children.
• Fluent in English, oral and written.

Responsabilités

• Create an educational, safe, clean and enjoyable environment for children by planning age-appropriate programs.
• Foster self-esteem, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Develop and maintain constructive communication with staff.
• Follow YMCA policies, procedures and guidelines as outlined in manuals.
• Participate in a team-teaching approach in supervision and program development.
• Prepare snacks and complete housekeeping duties on a rotational basis.
