IXO is seeking a U.S.-based pharmaceutical commercial or forecasting practitioner for paid remote expert evaluation. The work examines whether assessments of medicines and drug-development programs use credible commercial assumptions and well-reasoned launch expectations.

You will create and critique evaluation rubrics, define defensible forecast considerations, build or review launch curves, and assess comparables and ramp-speed implications across launches.

IXO is seeking a U.S.-based pharmaceutical commercial or forecasting practitioner for paid remote expert evaluation. The work examines whether assessments of medicines and drug-development programs use credible commercial assumptions and well-reasoned launch expectations.

What you will contribute

• Create and critique evaluation rubrics for commercial drugs and development programs.
• Define the considerations that distinguish a defensible forecast from one whose apparent precision exceeds the supporting evidence.
• Build or review launch curves, including uptake, peak market share and the trajectory over time.
• Examine the choice of comparable launches, the speed of the commercial ramp, the assumed peak and the consequences of loss of exclusivity.
• Explain whether those assumptions hold together and where a different judgment would materially affect the forecast.
• Apply the analysis across the agreed set of launches. Expected contributions include launch-model work or critiques and assessment criteria that make the commercial reasoning explicit. The objective is to evaluate the quality of the assumptions, rather than simply reproduce a forecast's headline number.

Experience required

• You must be based in the United States, with at least five years in pharmaceutical commercial forecasting, analytics or strategy.
• Familiarity with biotechnology and pharmaceutical development programs is required, along with practical experience building or critiquing drug-launch and uptake models.
• Professionals from pharmaceutical sales teams can also be considered when they bring the relevant commercial and launch-modeling experience. A sales title alone does not replace the required experience with forecasting or model critique.

Engagement

• Compensation is $140 $220/hr USD.
• An initial 10–20 hours over 1–2 weeks is an indicative planning estimate; IXO will confirm the assignment, schedule and deliverables before work begins. Future work is not guaranteed.
