Job summary

Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is recruiting for a field data collector/driver to capture street imagery using mounted 360 cameras. You will drive on scheduled routes across public streets, ensuring data is collected accurately and safely.

The project runs 3 to 6 months, with a Monday–Friday 40-hour week and potential weekend work due to conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver Licence.
• Good driving skills and clean driving record.
• Able to install cameras on the roof of a vehicle (6 kg, 1 m height).
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
• Tech savvy: able to use Gmail, Google Forms, Google Meet and WhatsApp.
• Available for a minimum of 3 months.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Drive routes to collect street images using 360 removable cameras mounted on the vehicle.
• Follow assigned routes on public streets and areas, with a 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri, 8 hours/day); weekends possible due to weather.
• Record observations and report findings; ensure data is captured accurately.

Project objective

The goal of the project is to help collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas in the EU countries. The project is performed on cars with 360 removable cameras, that are mounted by the driver on top of the vehicle. Cameras image the area around the vehicle and store those images on computers inside the vehicle. Later, this data will be used to enhance one the most popular online maps in the world. The data collectors will be given specific routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites. Due to poor weather conditions some areas will be visited multiple times in order to collect the best quality of imaging. The project is expected to last from 3 to 6 months and will cover different data collection areas. The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows well the area, traffic trends, is highly responsible and reliable. The schedule expected on the project is Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day 40 hours per week. Due to weather downtime, work on weekends is possible.

Requirements

• Private monitored parking space for corporate vehicle would be a plus;
