Job summary

TSMG Holding is seeking data collectors to join our field operations in Fontenay-le-Comte, France. You will drive routes on public streets using a vehicle equipped with 360 removable cameras, capturing imagery for mapping projects and reporting results via familiar Google tools and messaging apps.

The role requires a valid driving licence, reliable and responsible conduct, and availability for 3 months or more.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver Licence.
• Good driving record and physical condition.
• Able to install cameras on the roof of a vehicle (6 kg, 1 metre height).
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Willing to work outdoors, including weekends in poor weather.
• Available for a minimum of 3 months.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned routes on public streets to collect imagery.
• Operate 360 removable cameras mounted on vehicles.
• Record data and report findings using Google tools and messaging apps.
• Work Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day; weekends possible in bad weather.

Company Description

Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is a field data collection company founded in 2017 in Europe. We collect data where automation is not possible. We count features, take pictures, make videos, record speech, and scan areas for every detail you need to make more informed decisions. Our field data collection teams are spread across Europe and North America, ready to accept new challenges.

Project objective

The goal of the project is to help collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas in the EU countries. The project is performed on cars with 360 removable cameras, that are mounted by the driver on top of the vehicle. Cameras image the area around the vehicle and store those images on computers inside the vehicle. Later, this data will be used to enhance one the most popular online maps in the world.

The data collectors will be given specific routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites. Due to poor weather conditions some areas will be visited multiple times in order to collect the best quality of imaging. The project is expected to last from 3 to 6 months and will cover different data collection areas.

The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows well the area, traffic trends, is highly responsible and reliable.

The schedule expected on the project is Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day 40 hours per week. Due to weather downtime, work on weekends is possible.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver Licence;
• Good driving skills and clean driving record;Good physical condition;

• Private monitored parking space for corporate vehicle would be a plus;
• General car knowledge would be a plus;
• Enjoys driving, within standard business hours;
• Available for a minimum of 3 months;
• Great communication and reporting skills;
• Tech savvy (drivers will use Gmail, Google Forms, Google Meet and WhatsApp);
• High level of responsibility;
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
