Job summary

Emory University seeks a Head of Data Services to provide strategic leadership for the Libraries’ data-related services. You will oversee a team of data professionals and collaborate with campus partners to align data initiatives with research needs.

Reporting to the Director of Collections and Open Strategies, you will expand data services, develop new offerings, and guide staff development while advocating for resources and space as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library and information science or related field.
• At least five years of data-related work experience.
• Strong ability to build relationships across teams.
• Proven project leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead data services program development and operations.
• Engage with campus partners to understand data workflows and service needs.
• Oversee data specialists and supervise graduate students as needed.
• Advocate for staffing, space, and service delivery improvements.
