Doctolib in Paris is seeking a Director of AI Developer Experience to lead a new AI DevEx team and own CI and developer experience for a fast-growing AI-driven engineering org. You will design and scale tooling, workflows, and feedback loops that help engineers write, test, review and ship code with speed and quality.
You will lead a 5+ year manager-of-managers track, drive DORA metrics, and partner with Product Engineering to increase adoption across teams while balancing safety, security and
Founded in 2013, Doctolib is Europe's leading AI and digital health company, serving 580,000 health professionals and 100 million people. We are building a new way to build software: agents doing the grunt work of writing, testing, reviewing and merging code, with engineers moving into a control-tower role to monitor and intervene.
Your mission: build the tooling and workflows that let AI agents and the engineers who work alongside them test, review, ship and monitor code reliably, so Doctolib can multiply its engineering output while keeping quality and control.
The role: We're looking for a Director of AI Developer Experience to lead our new AI Developer Experience team, reporting to the VP Platform Engineering. You will also own the existing CI and Developer Experience scope. Doctolib is moving AI adoption from a temporary SWAT team to a permanent capability. The current team includes two Product Managers and two engineers, with more people joining through internal transfers and hiring.
You have led engineering organisations through large-scale Developer Experience transformations and know what it takes to ship great tooling fast, durably, and without sacrificing quality. You think in systems technical and organisational and are as comfortable setting architecture direction as you are making a hard technical call.
Several years of AI Developer Experience leadership are not expected — the relevant signal is strong large-scale DevEx experience combined with recent AI transformation exposure.
Experience with large legacy codebases or monoliths, or in a regulated or high-trust environment such as healthcare. You treat constraints as design inputs, not blockers. Having led multi-country, distributed engineering organisations.
Our solutions are built on a single fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to country and healthcare specialty requirements. Our stack is composed of Rails, TypeScript, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and React Native. We leverage AI ethically across our products to empower patients and health professionals.
