Doctolib is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the AI Health Companion stream in the Patient domain in Paris. You will transform the Doctolib app into a health companion powered by AI, building an agentic, privacy-conscious system to assist patients and care teams.

You will work in a feature team focusing on production-grade AI agents, evaluation pipelines, and observability. Strong Python experience and English communication are essential for cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Familiar with automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Able to communicate in English with the team.

• Validate hypotheses with offline data and A/B tests on real traffic.

Your Impact

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI Health Companion stream within the Patient domain.

Your mission will be to transform the Doctolib app into a full health companion powered by AI, helping patients manage their health with accuracy, empathy, and safety.

You will work in a feature team developing an AI-powered chat built to answer patients' questions about their or their loved ones' health.

Working in the tech team at Doctolib means building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients.

What You'll Build

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Design, ship, and operate production-grade agentic systems that answer key health challenges for patients
• Partner with data scientists to design and implement evaluation pipelines, security/safety guardrails, and metrics
• Validate hypotheses quickly with offline evaluation datasets and A/B tests on real traffic
• Develop and maintain core agentic capabilities including memory, reasoning orchestration, and tool adapters, ensuring strong observability, fallback mechanisms, and fail-safe behaviors
• Own performance, observability and security: monitoring dashboards, SLO/SLI, security posture
• Ensure privacy and security by design
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that shape Doctolib's future AI platform and best practices in building agentic systems

You’ll be a great fit if you:

• Have 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, with at least one significant experience using Python
• Understand and promote best practices related to the software development life cycle such as automated testing, good use of CI/CD, and DevOps practices
• Are product-oriented and comfortable guiding your teammates to suggest tradeoffs to balance business needs with technical constraints
• Have the ability to adapt to the most efficient technologies to solve issues
• Are comfortable speaking and writing in English in your day to day with the team

It would be fantastic if you:

• Have experience with traditional ML or agentic systems in production
• Have experience in the medical domain
