Job summary

Adolescent Counseling Services (ACS) seeks a Development Director to lead fundraising programs and donor engagement in Redwood City, CA. You will design multi-year strategies, cultivate major gifts, and oversee campaigns and events to expand contributed revenue.

The role collaborates with the Executive Director and Board to strengthen fundraising capacity, oversee communications and donor stewardship, and advance ACS’s mission serving youth across programs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of development, fundraising, marketing, and/or public relations experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Passion for the mission of Adolescent Counseling Services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy with major gifts, planned giving, institutional giving, and annual campaigns to grow revenue and donor engagement.
• Develop and manage an annual fundraising plan including donor cultivation, stewardship, fundraising appeals, awareness initiatives, and signature events.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual donors, major donors, institutional funders, corporate partners, and prospective supporters.
• Oversee donor acknowledgement processes, tax receipts, and stewardship communications.
• Produce fundraising reports and coordinate with finance to ensure accurate reconciliation between donor database and financial records.
