Martin Brûlé Studio is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join the Design Team and help execute high-end interior architecture projects. You will work closely with principal designers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budgets.

The ideal candidate brings experience in renovations and architectural projects, with strong organizational, conceptual, and construction document skills. Portfolio upload is requested for consideration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Paris design resources: furniture, fabrics, vendors, artisans.
• Extensive knowledge in design history and production of precise plans and drawings.
• Understanding of materials (flooring, wall coverings) and custom furniture/window treatments.
• Familiarity with ordering and production processes.
• Customer service mindset and ability to assess client needs and satisfaction.

Responsabilités

• Work with Head of Design to drive projects from inception to completion.
• Support project management of multiple projects with tight timelines.
• Attend design meetings and prepare minutes, tasks, and follow-ups.
• Create furniture plans, elevations, RCPs, millwork drawings, and custom pieces.
• Produce construction documents using CAD and related software.
• Coordinate finish plans, specs, and material selections.
• Utilize presentation tools like Adobe Suite and Keynote; manage project data in Asana and Excel.
• Source interior products and finishes for review and approval.
• Maintain organized project folders with drawings, specs, schedules.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Martin Brûlé Studio is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to support and work closely with the internal Design Team to efficiently execute projects within deadline constraints.

A growing interior design firm, Martin Brûlé Studio seeks a motivated designer. The ideal candidate should have experience in high-end renovations and architectural projects, working on all phases of development for Interior Architecture and design documents. The ideal candidate has also worked for a top interior design firm.

The Designer would work directly with the firm's principal designers to ensure the facilitation of a project’s completion meeting timelines and budgets. Candidates must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and creative. An ideal Designer should have a high level of knowledge in concept development, design and construction documents, and project management skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working directly with the Head of Design and Senior Designers to see projects through from inception to completion
• Assisting the Head of Design and Senior Designers in project management of multiple projects simultaneously
• Attending design meetings and installations with the Head of Design, and prepare meeting minutes for distribution and task lists
• Creating furniture plans, elevations, RCPs, millwork drawings, custom furniture drawings, etc
• Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) and related software to produce construction documents
• Manage own timelines and priorities as part of a cross-functional team and collaboratively meet tight deadlines
• Assist with coordination for finish plans, specifications and material selections
• Utilize presentation tools including Adobe Suite and basic office software like Microsoft Office, and Keynote
• Utilize project management tools like Asana and Excel
• Research and source interior products and relevant interior finishes/materials for review
• Maintain and organize project folders with all related drawings, specs, schedules, etc
• Site visits to supervise/check-in as needed
• Advise clients on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and use of furnishings or equipment, and color coordination

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of Paris design resources - furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, vendors, artisans
• Extensive knowledge in design history, design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Knowledge of industry terminology for architectural materials (flooring, tile/stone) and custom furniture/window treatments
• Clear understanding of the ordering and production process
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Currently hiring for multiple levels and years of experience.
