Astonfly is seeking a Deputy Head of Training to join our training management team in the Île-de-France region. You will actively contribute to managing and continuously improving the quality of our ab initio airline pilot training programs.

Reporting directly to the Head of Training, you will supervise theoretical and practical training, monitor student progression, and ensure compliance with DGAC/EASA regulations.

Qualifications

• Solid organisational skills and leadership experience in training settings.
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities.
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
• Proficiency with office software (MS Office suite).

Responsabilités

• Assist the Head of Training in supervising theoretical and practical training programs.

• Contribute to development, updating, and quality control of training materials.
• Participate in monitoring student pilots' progress and manage special cases.
• Ensure compliance with DGAC/EASA regulations and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with the Chief Flight Instructor on standardization and audits.

The role

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Deputy Head of Training to strengthen our training management team. Reporting directly to the Head of Training, you will actively contribute to managing and continuously improving the quality of the training provided.

In preparation for a retirement, there is a possibility of promotion to the position of Head of Training.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Training in supervising and organizing theoretical and practical training programs
• Assist the Head of Training in planning, managing, and monitoring training activities
• Contribute to the development, updating, and quality control of training materials
• Participate in the individualized monitoring of student pilots' progress
• Participate in managing special cases: delays, failures, program adaptations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (DGAC/EASA) and the organization's internal procedures
• Work in collaboration with the Chief Flight Instructor on flight instructor standardization
• Contribute to internal audits and the preparation of civil aviation authority inspections
• Stand in for the Head of Training in their absence, within the scope of delegated responsibilities
• Monitor regulatory developments applicable to aeronautical training and ensure their proper application within ATO programs

Holder of a pilot licence (CPL, ATPL, or equivalent) and an instructor rating (FI/CRI/IRI), you have significant experience as an FI/IRI/CRI MEP instructor, FE desirable. You demonstrate a solid knowledge of aviation regulations (EASA Part-FCL, Part-ORA).
