Job summary

Amazon Data Services France SAS in Paris seeks a DC/DC Power Electronics Engineer to design isolated high-power DC/DC converter stages for MV-to-800 VDC systems. You will own the DC/DC stage, optimize switching, and coordinate interfaces with front‑end and 800 VDC outputs, while validating performance against targets.

The role collaborates with magnetics, thermal and controls teams to deliver efficient, reliable power solutions for AWS data centers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 2+ years in DC/DC design.
Experience with high-power isolated topologies (DAB/CLLC/LLC).
Ability to validate designs with measurements and simulations.

Responsibilities

Design DAB, CLLC and related isolated DC/DC converter architectures.
Develop high-frequency modulation strategies for high-power operation.
Optimize ZVS/ZCS operating regions and switching performance.
Evaluate efficiency across variable AI/data-center load profiles.
Coordinate DC/DC design with medium-frequency transformer and inductor designs.
Define electrical interfaces with the AC/DC front end and 800 VDC output.
Assess paralleling, current sharing and module fault-isolation strategies.
Support protection and control requirements for the DC/DC stage.
Use PLECS, PSIM and MATLAB/Simulink to model behavior.
Validate transient response, efficiency and thermal performance.
Correlate simulation with hardware measurements.
Support prototype testing and design iteration.
Design the isolated DC/DC stage to support the 800 Vdc LVDC interface with tight regulation targets.
Address redundancy, fault protection and load-profile verification.
